Services Offered
For Clients with Pain and other Chronic Symptoms:
Assessment and Diagnosis
If you’re struggling with ongoing pain or other distressing physical symptoms, I offer comprehensive in-person evaluation to explore your history and symptoms in depth. The goal is to identify the true underlying cause—whether it’s structural (related to tissue damage or disease) or neuroplastic (brain-induced but real). This clarity is often a turning point in recovery.
Treatment
After the diagnostic assessment, I offer ongoing care for pain and other persistent symptoms. Treatment may include:
-
Evidence-based non-drug approaches like Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET)
-
Medications (when appropriate) and support for deprescribing when reducing or discontinuing medications is needed.
Your treatment plan will be collaborative and personalized, with a focus on mind-body healing backed by current research.
Insurance and Payment
I am not in-network with insurance providers, but many clients are able to receive partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. I provide a detailed invoice (superbill) after each visit for submission to your insurance. If you’re wondering whether my services may be a good fit for you, feel free to reach out by phone or email. I’ll be glad to talk with you.
For Referring Clinicians:
Consultation and Collaboration
A single diagnostic consultation can be a helpful adjunct to ongoing psychotherapy or medical care. I frequently collaborate with psychologists, social workers, primary care providers and medical specialists to clarify the nature of a client’s condition and advise on treatment.
I provide diagnostic clarity and treatment for patients with:
-
Medically unexplained physical symptoms
-
Chronic or refractory pain
-
Functional and somatic symptom disorders
